THL Language School is a reputable educational organization specializing in online language courses in English, German, and Dutch. THL Language School originated from the original "Online Learning" format, which later expanded to the Netherlands and became the brand THL Taalschool. Since 2026, we have also brought this brand to Slovakia. We are available to clients across Slovakia and Europe who want to learn a foreign language with qualified and experienced teachers.

Individual and group online lessons in English, German, Dutch, or Slovak via Google Meet, with easy browser access—no installation required. Ideal for clients who prefer Google solutions and use Gmail or Google Classroom.

Interactive language lessons through Zoom, with screen sharing, lesson recording, and the use of a virtual whiteboard. Ideal for intensive courses, corporate training, and longer online sessions.

FAQ
1. Is it obligatory to attend the full 3 months of the course?
Group courses in English, German, Dutch, or Slovak last for three months and are divided into three separate 5-week courses. Continuing after the first or second course is not mandatory, but it is recommended and necessary to complete the full level and receive a certificate.
2. Is the language certificate valid in the EU?
No. Our certificates are internal and serve as proof of attendance and completion of the minimum requirements for achieving a given language level. They are commonly accepted by employers.
3. Do you also offer online language courses?
Yes, we also offer our English, German, Dutch, and Slovak language courses online via platforms such as Google Meet, Zoom, Skype, or MS Teams.
4. What do the courses look like?
Our courses are interactive. We place a strong emphasis on conversation, which is why our lessons are conducted in the target language (depending on the level). The textbook and materials serve only as a guide, and instructors never go through exercises one by one. Grammar is explained in a clear and simple manner.
5. How can I register for a course?
You can register for an English, German, Dutch, or Slovak language course on our website in the "Course Offerings" section. After completing and submitting the registration form, we will contact you within 3 business days to confirm the details and help you choose the most suitable language course for you.
6. Do you recommend a group course or an individual course?
There is no clear-cut answer to this question. Group courses are much more interactive, and our students often learn from the mistakes of others. Individual courses, on the other hand, are flexible and can be fully adapted to your schedule. You can also agree with the instructor on the content, focusing on the areas you want to work on the most.
7. Is it obligatory to take a stage test before the start of the course?
In general, this is not necessary if you are confident about your level. If you are unsure, we can arrange a short phone call or a visit with us to test you and select the most suitable course for you.
8. How long does it take to communicate properly in English, German, Dutch or Slovak?
It depends on the amount of material and practice you complete. For one student, it may take a few months, while another student may study for several years and still not feel comfortable in the foreign language. To reach level A2 (from A0), it typically takes about 1 year with moderately intensive instruction. Achieving B levels requires more time, as well as a few lessons with a native speaker or the opportunity to communicate with native speakers.
